Ina Bierstedt <--> Philipp Fürhofer

What happens if two on the first sight very different but on a closer look comparable artists

working together on a common project? How would one artist understand the other and how

would the other one answer? Which questions follow from a special distance with different

impressions and different cultures?

In the most recent exhibition HIER is interested in a classical artist correspondence.

Philipp Fürhofer spent some time in Switzerland for a scholarship. Ina Bierstedt worked in Berlin.

Both got ten empty postcards and matching envelopes each addressed to the other. One of

them became an extra envelope including a profane bill from a dinner as a first impulse. As a

result a dialogue like mutual references in lettering, painting and collage evolved.
